Atocha Station - Apartamento de 2 dormitorios

The beds had stains on which made it very horrible for us and such a uncomfortable stay and not worth the money

Cons: The accommodation certainly is on the cheap end. Stains on the couch, dents in basically all the furniture, very dusty, stains in the towels (despite being freshly washed), some of the shelves nearly fall out off the wall, the walls have stains too and are partially not white anymore. The kitchen is ok equipped, but the equipment is old, e.g. the coating in the pans is peeling off, partially the dishes are not really clean - which is however likely to blame the previous person in the apartment for. The worst thing though: A LOT of mold in the ceiling of the shower, the ceiling is basically black. As mentioned in other posts, the only 2 windows in the apartment face a little yard which does not provide much light (especially if people above put their laundry in there). The master bedroom shared a window (which was mostly covered but not 100%) with the hallway and you can hear (and a tiny bit see the light) from people walking through the hallway during all night. You can also hear the neighbour's TV. Especially on weekend be prepared that it can get quite loud. Pros: The host is very friendly and answered immediately to any requests. The location is perfect, very close to metro stations and the big Atocha train station. The heating does work well even in winter. I would have liked a little more explanation on the recycling system but that's not a con for the apartment. Why did I choose this place? - I needed an accommodation on short notice and it was one of the only places still available with decent rating and not too expensive price.

There were no window in the bedrooms and bathroom. This was not explicit in the post and pics.
