Affordable property, easy walking access to central landmarks

You won’t be able to enter if your phone battery dies. The walls are paper-thin therefore you can hear your neighbours as well as the noise from the street. Shared bathrooms are not very nice to use, they don’t seem to be cleaned often. And there is no staff to as you to tidy it up. The bed is not at all comfortable.

As a solo female traveller, I didn’t feel super safe using the phone to unlock all the doors, when I first arrived it was a bit confusing and I accidentally walked into someone’s room, which lead me to believe that the locking systems don’t work perfectly. Felt like anyone could walk into my room at anytime. Walls were thin, could hear everything, including couples.

“The worst hotel experience I've ever had”

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I stayed for three nights and barely got any sleep. The lack of soundproofing was unbelievable — we could hear every sound from neighboring rooms as well as the constant traffic noise from the street outside. The room was unbearably hot, and the central air conditioning was almost useless, operating at the lowest setting with no way to adjust it. To make matters worse, the window only opened slightly, so we couldn’t get any fresh air in to cool the room down. I found myself waking up multiple times each night just to take a cold shower and try to feel somewhat refreshed. Overall, this stay was extremely uncomfortable and far from restful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful or pleasant stay in Madrid.

“Very Disappointed- myriad of photos obfuscating the true experience”

The room was just about big enough to fit the bed. I was allocated room 1, right next to the main entrance to the property, which is a series of doors. There was a separate wash room and toilet to the room I was allocated. Although I had booked and paid for 3 nights and despite only getting there at 10:30PM, I left my luggage and immediately went to find alternative accommodation, returning 2 hours later to pick up our bags. The first 4 hotels I entered were all fully booked, but finally found one on Gran Via, which was excellent.

- Handy location, very close to the subway and the central area is walking distance (20 mins). - Shower pressure was really strong. - Support chat was quick to respond.

To be improved

- Pre-checkin is required but some pages were only supported in Spanish. - No AC nor adjustable temperature. - Incorrect room was assigned via email. - Door system relies on smartphone, it will be troublesome if you ran out of the battery. - Room door has a gap at the top and the bottom, so whenever people comes into the hallway it lit up my room a little bit. - Walls are paper thin, I could hear every rooms activities, someone snoring or constant banging noise after 11pm. - No staff so cannot report or ask for support.
