“A great place to stay to visit Valencia.”
Our host, Ivan, was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any messages we sent. The apartment is very cute and loved how it was designed and decorated. The location was absolutely perfect for pretty much anything we needed or wanted to do!
“Horrible!”
Rooftop and Location
This flat is really an impertinence and for 100€ a night really a cheek. Cockroaches!! We saw cockroaches several times a day and were simply disgusted. The landlord was aware of the cockroach infestation, as other guests had complained before us. On day 4 a cockroach got into our bed and crawled on us. Cockroaches are not just storage pests but can transmit various diseases and lead to allergies. Seeing one in a few days may be normal for Spain and can be tolerated but to the extent that it was in this flat + the fact that these cockroaches are crawling around on your body is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous to health. Considering that the landlord is fully aware of this and still rents out this flat for €100 (!) a night, it's really quite brazen. After that night we moved to another flat. After complaining to Booking, we were at least reimbursed for the last night that we had left early, but the landlord was not prepared to do more. We would have expected a more reasonable compensation. Also when it comes to general cleanliness, this flat leaves a lot to be desired. There were cobwebs everywhere, a dead cockroach under the sofa (so it definitely hadn't been cleaned there), some of the crockery wasn't completely clean. The towels were partly broken and pulled threads and there were foreign hairs. In general, the flat also smelled damp, musty and mouldy. It was also very cheeky that the landlord stated online that there was air conditioning. But there is not! At 35°C you can hardly stand the temperatures in the flat. At night you have to decide whether you'd rather melt away with windows closed or not sleep all night with the window open because the area is incredibly noisy (bar next door). We think that giving completely false information about something as important as air conditioning in Spain in summer is a absolutely unacceptable. We really hope that Booking will take action in this regard.
