Bakour Lanzarote Splash

We went for 10 days including Christmas and Boxing day. Let's start with the good, perfect for families with young kids 2-10 of age will be the sweet spot for you and for them. Great activities all day long, involving the kids entertainment crew and even a mini disco for kids at the evening. Food wasn't the best but for all inclusive it was more than fine. Christmas dinner was very good. The bad, even though most of the stuff (reception and kids entertainment crew and some of the dinner attendees) were very nice and very welcoming, others, around the pool and some in the bar were impatient and sometimes bitter (make sense if you have to work during Christmas). Also bad was the weather, which was raining during some days and basically made us realise that there is not much to do in the hotel apart from the pools and the kids activities. Christmas day was sunny though, got us a great tan and good time in the pool. The heartwarming, I don't want to mention any names cause all the kids entertainment crew were great, but couple of them were amazing with our daughter and went above and beyond to make her happy during the day activities and the mini disco. All in all we were pleased, 4/5 make sense There is enough room for improvement with some of the facilities looks tired, the food needs some touch ups and the ground floor rooms can be a bit more noise isolated.

Bear in mind a smalllll print says renovation on pool area. Bit let me tell you 7 am drilling kango dust no sleep on the night as fences blown over can’t go snack bar no one did due to extreme dust. Noise from the dust covers that fell over keep you awake. Food tbh really 2 star. Worst experience in all my life.

Been to Lanzarote Numerous times. Pity I never visited this Hotel before. Check in was easy and Quick. Room: The room was Superb, lovely King Size Comfortable Bed. Shower was excellent, TV in Bedroom as well.Tea and Coffee making facilities, Housekeeping Spot On. Altogether 10/10. Hotel was Sporless. Pool Area : Lovely Pool Area,always clean like all the grounds really, plenty of Sunbeds and Parasols. Bar : Lovely set up, this was my only complaint though, Only visited it 3 Times ( Meeting friends in Lanzarote ) but, 3 Times i was charged a different price for my Drink, ( Vodka and Coke ) Charged 5 Euros Ist time. 6 Euros 2nd Time and Charged 7.5 Euros the 3rd time. Could not understand this. But, I still thoroughly enjoyed my Stay. All the Staff I interacted with were brilliant (Always Smiling ). But Special mention to Marianne on Reception, absolutely lovely woman, Very Helpful and courteous and always Happy. I Would Definitely recommend this Hotel Anytime. And would return without hesitation. Thank you All at the Bakour Splash.

Excellent hotel for you kids. Very friendly service and good food. The pool area is great with the slides and play area in the pools. Definitely go back

We returned home 2 days early. First of all we arrived at 12pm and the lady behind the reception said we had to wait to 3 until check-in she seemed miserable and un helpful when we went back at 3 she said wait ten more minutes to then see her go off shift and swap and the leave the work to the other lady clearly our room was ready as soon as we asked the next lady she gave us all the info and room was ready. We soon noticed loud drilling coming from the main pool and it was having work on it and not in use something we were not made aware of kind of disappointing but the kids pool was amazing for my 5 year old. 48hours in to our stay were we were all inclusive my whole family of 4 with in a hour were having d&v so badly and we had only eaten at the hotel. I made the hotel aware but they did not seem concerned. We booked early flights home as we were worried to eat at the hotel and the children just wanted to go home after being so so poorly. If the pool was up and running and we didn’t have the experience with being so poorly and maybe the staff could cheer up and be more helpful it would have been ok. Pros : Cleaners work really hard it is very clean. Kids splash park is amazing. Good location. Real shame we were looking forward to this holiday for so long.

Was up at 2.30 am, early flight 6am from Glasgow Arrived hotel 11.45am , Grumpy woman at desk, it was a long day. I filled out online check-in form a week b4 for hotel, and I thought it would be a smooth and quick entry to room Phew 🫩 it wasn't She goes all through the process of check-in and, at the end, says I did it all online 😵‍💫 Then, to top it off, says room not ready till 3pm Luggage room over there not locked People are coming and going , not leaving valuables in there , door ajar Put things in rucksack to carry with us Absolutely raging 😤 Went a walk came back 2pm asked is it was ready, she says grumpy voice," I said 3pm Sat on couch fuming Been to hundreds of hotels and have never seen a policy like it. If your room ready, hand over keys 2 other couples are waiting also At 3 p.m., change over with receptionists They talk for 15mins ignore everybody Wife at desk till 3.30 till we get room Sent a photo to show Got room 166 next to building works for pool we weren't told about Probably would have booked somewhere else 8 am all week grinding and drilling No long lie in for us 😔 The hotel is a wee bit out at the top of a road but only 15 mins walk to strip In room we were half board They have 1 microwave 1 kettle 1 cup, that's all No cutlery, no plates, no pots, nothing I'm not here to cook, but maybe make a sandwich for lunch sometimes We were next to the hardware shop Got some plates and wine glasses 🤔 2 days in a row cleaner took away our glasses raging 😤 In toilet, the bad smell of sewage, especially at teatime and at night Pertrude 🤢 In the room, he had to go to reception to get other blankets, none spare in the room Food was good in the dining room,couldn't fault and staff all so nice in there Found fruit juice all very watery Nice touch you get a drink with your dinner at night Pool area very quiet lots of beds The little van, which gives out drinks and snacks Music is very loud from the speaker 🔊 Bit ravey but fine 🙂 like to hear music Was supposed to be staying till 23rd but got an early flight back 21st Neck and back is stiff and sore 😫 after staying 4 days here Bed In room is rock hard it's absolutely 💯 solid horrendous And couch in living area no back to it canny sit back, more of a bed So uncomfortable 😫 Wifi always cuts out, disappears sometimes Wouldn't like to be AI in here. Entertainment looks awful 😕 Lots of older clientele in hotel
