Everything was bad

-we had to drive with the owner to his place to collect the second set of keys, as he came to meet us by the apartment with only one set, even though we agreed in advance that he gives us two sets. Not a big deal though. - dog fur all over the place. you could see that the floors inside were cleaned, but you could still find a lot of fur in corners and on/under the couch. The balcony floor was obviously done nothing with. When we opened the balcony door, the wind did a great job spreading everything around. We went out and bought a dry mop and the vacation started by cleaning floors. - the bed sheets stunk old smoke, probably someone was smoking beside them when they were hang up to dry.. but still - we had to wash everything before we could use them. - would be great if the owner could place some hand sope and dish sope in the apartment. - we also missed a thin blanket to sleep under, only sheets were available.

This was a horrible experience! The first thing I realised is that the parking advertised as ‘free parking’ is a paid parking garage. The free parking lot is 10 minutes away. I had agreed with the owner to check in at 1pm, but he didn’t get there until 1.35 so I was left outside in the sun waiting. I then realised the toilet was not working, and there was no lights in the bedroom. When I asked the host about this he said they knew about this, and I could leave the top lid off the toilet and flush from the inside and that lights wasn’t really necessary. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ The apartment was also very dirty, and I found hairs several places in the bathroom and even food scraps in the sink. After all this, I did not feel comfortable staying there so I asked him to waive the cancellation fee so I could find another place to stay. He told me he had spoken to Booking and that they would refund me, but when I spoke to Booking later they told me they have not been able to get in touch with him. So that was clearly also a lie. Not surprisingly, he is now not picking up my calls or responding to any messages about this. Stay away from this company!!!
