Balcon del Mar

Just spent 8 nights here. Hotel is dated, and could do with a refurb. However, there is a lot to like. Friendly staff, location, claanliness, spaceous appt and everything functional. However, a few small things sort of disappointed us. First, no BBC or ITV channels, (We used youtube to get some Enlish channels, GB News and some music channels). There are cokerels right outside the appt to wake you up, and the maids trolley going past your room quite early sounds like a train passing!! Finally, we chose self catering to divide our meals between eating out, and making our own basic meals (we took a few packets of sauces, curry, chilli c.c etc) and the basic self catering items not available was noticeable. Cheese grater, potato masher, measuring (microwaveable, pyrex?) jug, salt and pepper pots? Also, the microwave was on a shelf so high, we had to stand on a chair to keep an eye on whatever is in it!! We did manage though, and would definitely recommend the hotel, but would like to see these few issues addressed.

I stayed here with friends last week Absolutely perfect Well equipped apartments Extremely clean Nice comfy clean beds Big balcony The pool is great And the onsite bar /cafe was really nice. The breakfasts are lovely The onsite staff are very approachable and if you have a blip soon sort it out . The apartment are right at the top of gran canaria but the views are amazing and there's a Europa shopping centre 5 minutes away with good well priced restaurant Try Amadeus €14.95 for a three courses . Don't worry about getting about the taxis are cheap and lots of them We shall most definitely be returning if only to see the cheeky roosters who live on the side of the hill 😃great fun ...

Such a shame to give a bad review as stayed in 2009 and that was much different. We stayed here for 9 nights. Cleaners only changed towels twice. Despite them being soaked as the shower leaked. So had to keep towels on the floor. Towels were very old with holes and bleach stains. We asked reception for new towels and they said no!!! Sheets was not changed once!!! Beds were like ironing boards, Very noisy all through the night. Very little sleep any night. Also charged 3.50 euros a day to park our rented car!

Lovely hotel, received a really friendly welcome. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Hotel is nice, didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on this. If you're looking for a clean, friendly place to stay would recommend Balcon Del Mar, really good value for money

My friend and I spent six nights here in November. We had a two bedroom apartment and found it to be very clean. Everything we needed was in the apartment, apart from one thing.... Sunbeds! The terrace is huge and could accomodate them easily. it is just our preference when on holiday. Otherwise it was a lovely place with friendly staff. Oh and our entertainment was watching all the cats with their kittens.

The place was clean and friendly but no bar after 8pm, no restaurant and no entertainment. Room cleaned every 3 days but don't make beds, was there for 11 days and had to ask for bed linen to be changed on the 9th day
