“Pretty much paradise!”

Excellent location from which to explore the Alpujarra villages area, although the initial drive down the access road was a little intimidating. We got used to it and, to be honest, we never had to deal with any oncoming traffic! Plus the huge garden (with a very pleasant pool) is something you’ll never find in any hotel setting!

To be improved

Just the one bathroom and just one of the three bedrooms with a double bed might be seen as a negative, but this is a rural cottage— think tranquil solitude with amazing views, which transcends any initially perceived shortcomings!

Antonio is a great host. He met us at the property and explained everything with the help of a relative translating on the phone! Super garden produce and great views. The pool was fantastic - warm and clean. There were comfortable beds and nets on the windows.

“An amazing place to stay with wonderful hosts and stunning mountain views!”

We absolutely loved our stay here, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The pool is a great size and provided endless hours of fun for our two children, ages 10 and 3. And also lovely swimming for the adults! The house is really beautifully done, with an authentic Spanish feeling. The garden is idyllic and the view across the mountains could not have been more beautiful to wake up to each morning. We even used the outdoor pizza oven and made our own dough and very tasty pizzas for dinner one evening. The owners of the house were very lovely and kind to us, showing us around, which was great despite neither of us being able to speak each others’ language! They were brilliant hosts. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in the Alpujarras. We all agreed we’d love to return and stay here again next time we come to the area.

To be improved

The only improvement would be an enclosure for the shower, or even a shower curtain, to avoid the water splashing out onto the bathroom floor. And if the outdoor shower was working that would have been useful for a quick shower after swimming in the pool.
