Barceló Cáceres V Centenario

We were very disappointed in our two night stay at this hotel. First of all, our Expedia status entitled us to a free upgrade if available and a gift card. Upon check-in we asked about the upgrade and were told that the room we had chosen and paid for was an upgrade - which made no sense. We had to ask for the gift card which turned out to be a free drink at the hotel bar. The drink is a specific wine-based drink and no substitutes were allowed (so no non-alcoholic options, no non-wine options - we did not use it). In addition, the barman was not interested in serving us when he saw the gift card and took some time to attend to us even though others arrived after us. We have received Expedia-based gifts in the past that have been great, ready for us when we arrived and offered upon check-in - so we were looking forward to this surprise gift card. Reception was efficient but cold. Our room room was comfortable and quiet, but had a problem with the floor lifting in the bathroom and the flooring splitting (uncomfortable, dangerous and not what you expect for this calibre of hotel). We asked for another room, but were told there were no other rooms available of the same level. Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from including local specialties, and items of good quality. The grounds are pretty, but the pool (the main reason we chose this hotel) was very cold and we did not swim in it, very few people did, even in the heat of summer. The hotel is a distance from the tourist centre and not convenient for public transport. We tried to book at the restaurant, but could not reserve before 10 pm either night and it appeared expensive, so we ate elsewhere. We would not return.

Stayed one night while traveling from Toledo to Lisbon in order to experience the Old Town of Cáceres. The hotel felt like a typical business hotel, with nothing particularly memorable. 1. Parking: I chose this hotel mainly for parking convenience. However, the outdoor parking spaces are very limited and highly competitive. The hotel does offer an indoor garage, but the fee is €20 per day, which feels relatively expensive considering the overall accommodation cost. 2. Location: The hotel is somewhat far from the Old Town. When I visited the historic center, I noticed many beautiful boutique hotels located within the Old Town itself. There are also public parking facilities around the historic area. If I return, I would definitely consider staying at one of those boutique hotels instead. That said, the Old Town of Cáceres was far better than I expected. It was absolutely worth spending a day or two exploring this well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage site. 렌터카로 톨리도에서 리스본으로 여행 중에, Old town이 Parking 이 어려울 것 같아 선택한 호텔인데, Old town에서 너무 멀고, Parking charge도 있고 (외부 free 주차 자리가 있지만 매우 경쟁적) 하루 이틀 여행객에게는 별로 추천하기 어려운 호텔이네요.

We were here begon and would recomment It for one or more Nights. Too far from the center to walk but taxi is cheap

convenient to main road, secure parking underground that can cope with a big pick up vehicle, nice spacious rooms , easy to walk to small supermarket nearby , staff always friendly, king size bed is very big and shower was good

Have stayed here previously. Friendly staff, reasonable amount of English spoken. Comfortable rooms and overall good value.

Loved this hotel. Very modern and very comfortable. Our room on the 5th floor was quiet, the bed was awesome and the bathroom was large and had lush bath sheets. Aaron at reception went above and beyond and was very friendly. He patiently showed us how to take bus line 7 to a walkable distance from the walled city. Access to the bus was easy from the hotel so we could leave our car at the hotel. Parking is free
