“Nice size rooms”

The rooms were a nice size with a nice size bathroom. The bathroom had a tub and shower combination. So you have to be careful getting in and out. The breakfast was average.

“Renovation works ongoing while our stay and we weren’t notified in advance”

They were doing some renovation works in the building they didn’t told us about in advance, so we were woken up really early in the morning just because. If we had been notified, we wouldn’t have made a reservation in this hotel.

“You'll Be Happier Booking at Another Hotel”

We stayed in at the Barcelo Leon Conde Luna in late May 2025 as part of a tour with Gate 1 Travel. This was not representative of the other hotels we were booked into on the trip. I would rate this a 2 star hotel, at best. On the positive side, the location is excellent and we enjoyed the varied breakfast options. However, our room was small and desperately in need of updating. The furnishings were worn out and gave the impression of being tired and grimy. The mattress and pillows were really uncomfortable. The A/C did not work well. WiFi was non-existent. There was mold in the bathroom (though the shower was nice, and the towels were of good quality). The refrigerator was overheating its enclosure. There was no in-room coffee or tea or electric kettle. The front desk did provide an electric kettle upon request, which unfortunately had not been cleaned and contained the food residue of a prior guest's misusing it to make soup. We couldn't wait to leave this hotel and can't recommend it to others.

“The location make it a good experience.”

The best

The room we received smelled like strong cigarette smoke. We smelled it first In the hallway on the 2nd floor of the hotel right when we got out of the elevator. Apparently someone was smoking in a near by room in a "no smoking hotel". The hotel took care of it and moved us to another room on another floor and the they made it right for us. They handled the situation with excellent customer service.

To be improved

The breakfast was good. The only problem was there was not enough help in the breakfast area. Almost all the table had dirty dishes and you had to look for clean silverware. I feel sorry for the one lady bussing tables and serving people. They definitely needed more help. The food was good with lots of options though. I didn't like that parking was offsite but it was easy to figure out. It was few blocks away.

Overall nice hotel, personal very helpful, room was great & clean Don’t miss the bar on the roof top - great view & nice to relax in the evening with a view on the cathedral Thanks for the hospitality
