Barcelona Apartment Villarroel

I didn’t like that the check-in was a half mile from the property and I had to drag a heavy suitcase 0.5 miles to the apartment after check-in. Once I got to the apartment building, the key cards I was given didn’t work and I had to wait 30 minutes for new keys to be given to me before I could access the apartment. The next morning when I checked out of the property, the elevator didn’t work at all and I stood there for over 10 minutes pressing the button but it wouldn’t light up. So I had to drag my heavy suitcase down three flights of stairs because I was on the 3rd floor of the building. I broke a wheel off my nice suitcase in the process and now have to replace the entire bag.

The first major issue with this place is that the photos do not reflect reality at all, whether on Google Maps or booking platforms. Another problem is that you cannot check in remotely, and the reception is far from the actual apartment location. The apartment cleanliness was far from ideal, and they had strange rules — including requiring guests to take out the trash to the street, and to wash any cups or kitchenware used. I mean, sure, I understand washing what I used — but taking out the trash myself? What’s the point of hotel services then?
