“Great hotel”
We stayed here for 3 nights. We were worried about some reviews we had read, However our room was very clean and towels were changed daily. The staff were all helpful and gave some great recommendations on places to eat. The hotel seems far from all the places you may want to visit but it’s only 20mins on the bus into the centre & 10mins on the tram. Both of which stop right outside the hotel. We don’t eat in the hotel. The room has a fridge with a few drinks which is replenished daily. We didn’t use the pools but there was plenty of space to relax on a lounger.
“Good Hotel”
I travelled here with my partner, in a group of 3 couples and we all thought the hotel itself is very good in terms of what you get for the price. The lobby/reception was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was actually very good considering the price not being bad at all. They let us store our bags in the luggage room and go back out until our room was ready, in which we came back early (about 2 o'clock) and it was ready, although one couples room wasn't ready until about quarter to 4. The standard rooms are more than enough, with bed you could fit a boat in, an AC and spacious showers. The cleaners were great and you get waters/beers/cokes refilled in your fridge if they have seen you have used them, and yes this is for free. The windows are not able to be opened at all which I understand why but would be nice to be able to slightly. The rooftop pool is a nice little area but its nothing special, it can get windy and cold but the pool is heated. They have towels you can use for free set aside the pool and in the floor 3 area which has the gym/saunas/pool. The gym contains dumbbells, a cross trainer, treadmill, bench and all in one machine so its okay but not great if your an avid gym-goer back home. We didn't have breakfast included so cant comment on that but from the food in reception I would hope that its pretty damn good. For the negatives, the hotel uses only 3 lifts and no stairs for guests which was slightly frustrating as it could get busy or we were waiting a while for it to come. Also, the food area in reception had one TV on a slanted wall in the far corner which is just silly and annoying if you plan on watching something like the footy there, but I know that isn't a massive thing for many people. Always remember you will pay TOURIST TAX per room! But anyways, its also worth noting that this hotel is right next to a shopping centre which has all sorts of food for breakfast/evening meals including a maccies for cheaper food, as well as loads of clothes shops and a supermarket in one of the bottom floors which is super handy to fill up on stuff in case you plan on a day out or beach day etc. There is also a tram and metro station like 4-5 mins walk away which we used every day to get in more central Barcelona. I cannot stress this enough - BUY THE TICKET FOR 1 ZONE WHICH INLUDES ALL TRAMS,METROS,UNDERGROUND THIS WILL GET YOU EVERYWHERE IT COST US 22 EUROS EACH AND IT WAS UNLIMITED USES FOR 30 DAYS YOU DO NOT NEED TAXIS UNLESS DESIRED ITS FANTASTIC/CLEAN/ORGANISED. Finally, we thought the beach was literally next to us, its not, there was just a long walk way next to rocks and you have to walk about 15-20 mins to actually reach a part that's sandy beach but we didn't use this beach we used the marina beach. Overall this isn't a hotel you will spend much time at, but but its rooms, care and location are great. If you do visit I hope you enjoy it, fantastic city!
“lovely hotel”
We recently stayed at the Barcelona Princess Hotel for 3 nights and overall had a really lovely stay, with just a couple of small issues. We were on the 22nd floor in a sea view room, which was definitely a highlight — the views were amazing! The room itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and the shower was lovely and powerful. There was also a safe in the room, which was really handy. Housekeeping was great too, with fresh towels every day and really friendly cleaners. Check-in was quick and smooth, which was great after travelling. Just something to note, you do have to pay tourist tax on arrival which was €9 per person per night. One of the perks we loved was the complimentary mini fridge, which was restocked daily with two bottles of water, a Coke, a Red Bull, and a beer — such a nice touch! There’s also a room service menu available, although we didn’t end up using it. When we arrived, we did have an issue with the air conditioning as it didn’t seem to be working. The windows don’t open due to a previous accident, so this made the room a bit warm. We asked for it to be looked at and were told it had been fixed, but unfortunately it didn’t feel any cooler. Luckily, we weren’t in the room much during the day, so we managed. The pool areas were great — both pools are heated and really relaxing, and they provide pool towels which is super convenient. The bar staff were all friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. We also tried the restaurant — the menu is a bit limited, but the food was really tasty (especially the nachos, which were a favourite!). The lifts were a little slow at times, but it didn’t affect us too much. Location-wise, it’s excellent. The hotel is basically next to metro, bus, and tram stops, making it really easy to get around. There’s also a large shopping centre right next door with plenty of shops and food options, which was really handy. We also used the Cabify app a few times, and it was about €22 on average to get into the city centre. Overall, a great stay with good amenities and location — just a shame about the air con, but it didn’t ruin our trip. Would definitely consider staying again!
“Great hotel”
I found this location perfect. Easy access to beach, metro and the hop on bus. Clean rooms, free mini bar, friendly staff. Poop was warm too.
“Top floor jacuzzi room”
Amazing top floor room with jacuzzi if you can pay the extra for this room hen do its worth it amazing views of the city without the hussle and bussel. Only comment would be breakfast should be included with the high price room. Although it is not in city centre there is many taxi tram metro and buses 2 mins walk. Enjoy people
“Lovely Stay!!”
Myself and my daughter stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful time!! We were given a room on a lower floor as requested at check in. The room was very clean and we had a lovely mini bar which was unexpected!! The beds were really comfortable so we slept well. We used the swimming pool on the rooftop which was amazing. We loved the location which was minutes away from a shopping centre and lots of amenities.
