Bazán City Center Apartment

I spent a week in this apartment with my family at the beginning of February. Unfortunately, we all agree that it is not suitable for rental! The main and absolutely disqualifying flaw of this apartment is the lack of sound insulation. For a whole week, we felt like we were living with a very loud Spanish neighbor. He led an extremely active life in the evenings—watching football matches and cheering loudly, hosting guests (including dates), having intense phone conversations, etc. We have never experienced such noise from neighbors before. It was especially loud in the two bedrooms and the living room, slightly less in the master bedroom. There was no way for the children to fall asleep. The neighbor would go to bed between midnight and 3 AM. We tried knocking, but he wouldn’t open the door. Unfortunately, the owner/property manager was of no help at all—he simply suggested that we call the police. Other issues: One of the showers is unusable—hours after use, water leaks onto the floor, flooding the entire bathroom, so we all had to use the second shower. There are only two sets of keys, and it is impossible to enter or exit the building without a key (you can exit if two people are present—one presses the button while the other opens the door). Not enough towels, and since they didn’t dry properly, we had to use damp ones. The apartment was very cold. For the first few days, we heated it with the air conditioning, but later, it only blew cold air despite the same settings. The apartment is on the third floor without an elevator. The surrounding area is not very pleasant—there are long queues of homeless/underprivileged people on the street because food is distributed nearby. No coffee capsules provided for the coffee machine. In summary, despite looking nice in the photos, this apartment is not suitable for rental. It’s better to find another place.

The building itself is bad, not clean and our floor, 3rd, had a strong smell of urine and damp, dust. A very serious issue is the access door to the building, the door release button is at the end of the hallway and only releases the door when it’s held down, if you are alone and don’t have a key with you then you can not get out of the building, there is no fire escape as far as I can see. I met a few people stuck at the door over a few days. In the apartment the sockets are wired to the light switches, this is bizarre, it means if you want to charge your phone overnight next to the bed you have to have the light on. Heating didn’t work the first day and night because the builders downstairs kept tripping the fuse. While the apartment is close to the centre it is on a street that is lined with waste collection areas that were overflowing every day. The plaza also seems to be a favourite daytime / nighttime drinking / shouting spot.

Side road a bit isolated. Water pressure not great in shower and couldn’t get hot water sometimes.

One TV didn't work - but someone came straight away to fix it. One bedside lamp was hanging off - they sent someone to check it. Rubbish wasn't collected. Three flights of stairs which was hard after a day out.
