“Location good but aircon didn’t work”
The best

Location excellent close to both the main train and bus stations. Also 10-15 min walk to the port.

To be improved

Aircon didn’t work or it wasn’t switched on. I think the staff were too young to make the decision to switch aircon on. My room was on 5th floor and faced the northwest and was very hot in the afternoon and evening and whilst it was a relief to open the window, being on a main road it was very noisy. I wouldn’t stay there again.

“Lovely hotel.”
The best

Stayed at this hotel over the Xmas period and was a lovely stay.We reserved the double premium room 508 which was just as described, 2 large rooms ,a bedroom with a separate lounge with a sofa,coffee maker, kettle and a minibar, excellent views of the port. Out of the 7 nights only had 1 morning where we had to wait for a table for breakfast,a very good varied breakfast including bacon and boiled eggs fruit etc. Staff very friendly and helpful and in the lobby there is a coffee machine which is free to use .

“It was spacey enough and walkable to many things. they had lots of offers for their guests. And they care about the environment. · Cons: They need to clean the windows. They need to use a bin that has a lid in the toilet. I was on my period and couldn’t use the toilet bin because it was wide open. So I had to use a plastic bag. There was no blanket for summer. We had to sleep in the thin sheet because all we had was a warm blanket for winter in the closet. So I woke up freezing a couple of times.”

“The location · Cons: There was a strange smell in the room, kind of the smell from the cleaning products used to clean the room and a little bit more of fresh air would've been nice. Otherwise the room was comfortable and the staff was helpful.”
