The check-in process is cumbersome as not all the information is sent via booking.com messages and the host assumes that everyone is on WhatsApp. I did not receive any check-in video which they wanted to send to me via WhatsApp as the number listed on my booking was my actual calling number in Europe and not my WhatsApp number. This caused some confusion and I had to call the host in order to find this out. The aircon was also not individual room units but a centralised system with a control switch at the entrance. This means that should someone decide to turn off the air-conditioning in the middle of the night, all rooms receive no aircon and vice versa. It was over 30 degrees outside when someone decided to turn off the aircon in the middle of the night.

The physical keys we were given after check in were blunted and didn’t turn in the locks. We were locked out of the main building and the apartment once each”
