The place was clean, in a nice neighborhood, close to the subway station. All the necessary facilities were there, nice shower, fast wifi.

To be improved

I had to actively reach out myself because I didn't get any check-in information on the day of check-in. I had to explain the problem again with the start of every conversation. When I got the info I was told to install and set up an app, which I didn't have the time for anymore because I had to board the plane. I was then told to call a number to open the door, when I did (after having to explain the problem once again) there were multiple tries to open the door without success. Eventually I was told the code of the lockbox in which there was the key. This whole process could have been a lot smoother.

Good location with half-hour walk to Central Madrid, 10 minutes to nearest Metro stop. Neighbourhood is good. Shops and Restaurants nearby. The flat is compact but comfortable. Ours was an internal flat, maybe a bit claustrophobic if you spent much time in it, but fine if you're going to be out sightseeing most of the time. See comment about outlook. An advantage is that it was very quiet. Very clean on arrival and sheets and towels were changed during our 5 night stay. Generally contact with reception staff (via phone and WhatsApp) was very straightforward, and they were helpful and responsive, but note my comment below on robustness.

To be improved

Provision of kitchen equipment was (just) adequate. It's a flat for 2 people and there's enough equipment for that. There's a dishwasher, but not enough crockery and cutlery to make it worth using it. I could have used some instructions for the hob if you're not used to digital controls. (I looked it up on the internet.) The entry mechanism on arrival - phoning the reception and they open the door remotely - worked fine for us, but vulnerable if the mobile signal is down. This happened to an elderly couple who arrived at one of the other flats during the big Spanish power cut. A more robust (analogue) method would be better. Our flat looked out onto a narrow space between buildings, one of which looked derelict. I guess if you want an outlook, you pay more than we did.

Good location. It is located in a charming neighborhood that is close enough to tourist attractions but not touristy. Close to subway and bus stops. The building has a rooftop. It was very clean and comfortable.
