After arrival, the jacuzzi did not work with a message E02 caused by a dirty filter. According to the owner, the filter is cleaned after every guest. Because the owner and cleaning lady couldn't solve the problem I personally removed the filter. As you can see in attached image, it is not at all cleaned after every guest. The owner agreed that this wasn't OK, so he offered us a dinner. That seemed to me a reasonable handling of this complaint. We kept it tidy and spent 125 euro's for 5 persons. I sent him the bill, but then it remained quiet. For 11 days no response to messages and calls. Until the moment he accidentally picked up the phone. He immediately hang up, sending me a 2-line WhatsApp message telling me the jacuzzi was working well and we broke the coffee maker. That's a very lame response after ignoring me for so long. The jacuzzi didn't work well. And the coffee maker was already broken, but it was working. My response to his message was followed by another week of silence. It became clear that he was going to leave me with both the bill and the negative experience. After all, you book this because of the roof terrace with jacuzzi. Booking.com has taken my complaint. The owner has not responded to them as well, so they generously compensated me in travel credits. Kudos to booking.com But what's left is a feeling of injustice done by the owner, and so I can only warn of his unfair conduct through this message. That is a great pity. Because the place has a lot of potential. But since you can't trust the owner, I would look elsewhere to spend your money well. In addition, there are some more imperfections. - The large parasol shown on the pictures isn't there. Only a too small one. But that is of no use. - The indoor and outdoor shower drain do not work properly. A lot of water remains and it bubbles. - On both sides of this house there are 2 completely fallen down properties, which remains underexposed in the photos.

Amazing location (although the sea can get very noisy - we have sleep buds so not a problem) Outdoor areas are amazing!

Indoor area not as good for staying in so if weather not good evenings not as much fun!

Superb location, a few steps from a beautiful beach, short walk from quiet attractive local town (with restaurants, bars and shops). Very helpful friendly host. Great base for walking, swimming and chilling.

The best

Great apartment, right on the beach front of Playa Santiago, I stayed here as a solo traveller for 3 nights and it was perfect for my stay. You can hear the sea when you are going to sleep and can watch the sun go down behind the mountains from the roof terrace, it is really special. It's a short walk to the centre of the town (less than 10mins) and there are two beach bars next door. It's very close to the bus stop where you can take the bus to San Sebestian in 45 minutes.

To be improved

The shower could have been cleaned to a higher standard, the water was taking a long time to drain due to not having cleared previous build up
