Beach, Restaurants and Views

The apartment is not worth the price at all. The shower is very small and smells strongly of sewage. The renovation was done carelessly, with many cracks where huge cockroaches come in. We saw four during our stay. it was disgusting! The pans are scratched and the non-stick coating is damaged, so it’s not safe to use them. There are two air conditioners, but both are only in the kitchen, and they have mold inside. The bedrooms are very hot, and the fans are dusty and old. My child is allergic to mold, so this was a big problem. We couldn’t open the windows because there are no nets, and cockroaches would come in. We only got the entrance keys in the second week. One time we had to wait almost an hour outside until the neighbors came and let us in. The children’s room has no window. The bedroom window opens to a messy balcony with a view of a wall. There is a terrace, but it’s not clean. It’s full of bird droppings, so we couldn’t use it. Overall, this place is not worth that money and even became dangerous for us because of the mold.

- Bear in mind that if you are traveling with many heavy suitcases, the flat is on the third floor with no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow.

I'd love some free parking nearby, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I think I paid €6 in total in street parking for a whole weekend.

We all arrived separately from different places and I had not done the check-in in advance. I was in a plane when my husband arrived in Castelldefels so he could not get in to the apartment. He called the number and there was no answer so he went to a café to wait. When I landed I first had to do the check in for all 4 of us before I could send my husband the details of how to get in to the apartment. The online check in was not the easiest. We live in Spain but it would not accept the place that we live so after many attempts I chose a random place as our address. I did it on my phone while in the long queue for passport control - so that probably didnt help. If I had done it all calmly in advance I am sure there would have been no problem - but as it was it turned out to be a bit of a mission. But at least my husband got to relax with a margarita!!
