Beachfront in Benalmadena by Costarentals - Ref 70

It is not very clean. You can see old bloody mosquitoes killed by previous visitors. Terrace was very dusty. Not very comfortable beds, pretty dirty matracess and sofa bed. It is good that at least there was a vacuum cleaner ( which we had to clean as well, that it could vacuum), so we cleaned apt by ourselves too. Oh and ants and cockroaches can visit you during the night, especially if you forget to take the trash out in the evening.

Woke up one morning to find a workman chiseling away at the facade over our patio door. He has put some planks on top of our awning and was lying down banging away. Contacted the letting agents Costa Rentals who did not know that work was scheduled to be carried out, They got the work stopped for a period. However a few days later we were contacted to be told that the work had to be completed to avoid damage to the property. In fairness to Costa rentals they gave us a late checkout on departure to make up for the inconvenience. The level of kitchen utensils was not very good, for example there was no bread knife, only two egg cups. The decoration was dated and the sliding wardrobes were hard to open and close in one of the bedrooms, also the couch was in need of replacing. The pillows were very uncomfortable and made a good nights sleep impossible. We stayed in the same complex the previous year and that apartment was much better equipped and decorated. The only reason we went for this apartment was that it was had three bedrooms this year, otherwise we would have booked the apartment we had the previous year. I would stay in the same complex again, just not this apartment.

A lot of rules regarding leaving to property clean and tidy but I’m not sure this is checked.
