The property and balcony is very overlooked by other apartments. There were building works going on directly outside the apartment, generating a lot of noise, including them starting work one morning at 7:30am. The email from the owner came four days after we’d paid the balance yet the works have clearly been going on for longer than that. It would have been nice to be informed about them before we paid the balance. All 3 pools were closed for all but the last day of our stay due to a water shortage. Even when given the go ahead to open was given by the government it took a further two days for the complex to officially open them. We had an issue with the lock of the front door when the key wouldn’t go in the lock upon returning to the apartment one day. We thought we might have left the second set of keys in the lock. The owner advised we would need to get a locksmith, which we did. He found that we hadn’t left any keys in the lock and had to lubricate the key to force it into the lock. He told us the lock was faulty. When we contacted the owner about this he told us that the locksmith had told him there was nothing wrong with the lock, which was clearly untrue. We paid 120 euros for the locksmith. If it had been our fault we would have accepted this but it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth when we’ve been told the lock was faulty for this to then be denied.

When they told us that the pool wasn’t open due to the drought they seemed surprised that we would have a problem with that, and offered no alternative suggestions.
