Host was ok until we had issues with the heater and dryer. After that we were treated very poorly including rude behavior, threats and insults. One of the space heaters kept turning off. Wouldn’t stay on throughout the night while it was cold. Informed the host and was only offered an apology, no solution. Then the dryer didn’t work. Informed the host and got no help yet again. We were told to use the laundry mat down the street…..The only reason we booked here instead of a hotel was to use the washer/dryer half way through our trip. All our clothes were dirty. We didn’t have time on our last night to wait for laundry down the street. We were told to leave it and come back. Ridiculous suggestion. In a city we’ve never been before, we are not going to just leave our only clothes down the street in a machine to come back for them later. The host blamed us for not noticing sooner. Wow! It’s your rental that has broken appliances. Then, insulted us and said we were blackmailing them when we asked for a partial refund due to the heat and dryer issue. Threatens to report me then tries to say I’m threatening them because I’m going to leave a bad review. Uh you threatened me? And I have every right to leave a review that reflects my experience. I’ve never seen such outrageous behavior from a host. I’ve stayed in so many extended stays/airbnbs and never dealt with this or ever asked for a refund. All the higher reviews must be from people who had NO issues because the moment you do, the host will become hostile. Booking.com is already working with me to get us some of our money back so clearly they dont think im “blackmailing” anyone. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!!!
