The hostel is in no position to host visitors and shouldn't be open and running "normaly"

The hotel is under construction, which was not communicated in advance. For an hour we were on a crowded street with all our luggage outside the locked hotel because the door code we were given was incorrect and the hotel was not answering the phone. We actually thought we had been scammed and were beginning to look for alternative accommodation when the hotel staff finally helped us. We had to walk through a dark construction zone to get to the check-in counter, only to be told we had to walk down the street to get to our actual room. The room itself was dirty with a moldy shower and a dead cockroach in the bathroom.

Shower not totally clean. As others have said, it’s currently a construction zone in the lobby area.

Soap dispenser at wash basin broke apart when touched, soap dispenser in shower was jammed.

There was no mention on the booking listing that they're undergoing extensive building work. The entire ground floor was a building site, temporary stairs in place to get to the first floor reception. Work continued all the way up to my room on the fourth floor. All sorts of power tools, angle grinders, drills, welding. An entire floor was missing, with a view from reception down to the ground floor, no safety barrier. Unfinished, bare concrete flooring. Lift out of action. Bags of cement, piles of bricks. Mercifully work had stopped by the time I returned in the evening. The shower has a fixed shower head, no adjustment at all, or ability to remove it from the wall to get a different angle. There was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. Unknown stain on one of the towels. I've stayed in worse places but they're usually half the price of what I paid here. I'm sure if you leave it a few weeks and visit once the work is done it'll be a more pleasant experience.
