Beautiful restored house with terrace

Unfortunately, as a female solo traveler, I didn’t feel safe staying at this property. The street it’s located on is poorly lit at night, which made me uncomfortable. The neighbors were very loud and intimidating, often sitting on the doorstep of the property all night. I would Uber back in the evening, but they would be outside, trying to speak to me and making comments . I speak fluent Spanish but didn’t engage with them but it made me feel uncomfortable. The flat itself isn’t very soundproof, which made it difficult to feel comfortable in the space. Halfway through my stay, my mum came to visit, and we both agreed that the environment felt threatening. In the end, we decided to leave a week early and pay to stay elsewhere. I understand that this wasn’t the host's fault, and they mentioned there was nothing they could do about the situation with the neighbors or the flat being on the ground floor. However, I would not recommend this property, for solo female travelers. I’m sure it would be fine for couples or groups of friends. That said, the property itself was lovely, and I do appreciate that aspect and it was clean and like the pictures.

The neighborhood is lively, but also noisy. Earplugs are helpful.
