“Amazing villa”

The whole booking process was great, the host stayed late to let us in and let us keep the villa until our transfer arrived. Tidy and clean, spacious and the gift basket on arrival was a great addition. The sun was on the villa from late morning until late. The rooms were spacious and everything was provided to enjoy a great stay. The pool was amazing and I would highly recommend to stay at this villa.

The villa is really spacious - outside there is the pool area where there are six sun loungers which got plenty of sun from around 10am in late October through to the late afternoon. There is a good size parasol that offers shade when needed. There is also a small table and four chairs in this area, these are situated under the upstairs balcony which offered more shade when needed. Round the corner, there is a large shaded outside dining area which is fantastic for outdoor evening meals and this also had a corner sofa to relax on. Our host Matt was waiting for us when we arrived to give us the keys and show us around - Matt took the time to make sure we covered each part of the property and answered all of our questions before leaving. We'd also been left a bottle of white and red wine with some water and snacks as a welcoming gift, which was a nice touch. The views from the property in particular from the upper floor balcony are great you get a view out to the Atlantic ocean with the rest of Adeje in the foreground. There were a few pool inflatables left for our kids to play with but they were not in great condition so we bought some of our own and left them when we departed. We have stayed other properties in Adeje and found that bugs were a problem we had to live with - the great news is that we had absolutely nothing like that during our six nights in this villa. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and a plug in air con unit - we didn't need to use these too much as it was cooler when we visited. The villa comes with a safe and all doors/windows have locks on them. The patio doors and windows have shutters which also have locks. Walked to the nearby supermarket at night on a couple of occasions- it felt very safe it's a quiet area and is set back on the hill away from the busier areas that are closer to the coast.

The pool was heated to around 29 degrees C but did feel chilly in the shade as the air temperature during our stay was lower than average for this time of year - our host Matt was quick to respond to our request to increase the temperature to 30 and this made a small improvement. The pool size is great for our kids to play in and at their age (11 & 8) the depth is safe for them to swim in if we wanted to take a break on the loungers. The main entrance gate was a little tricky to open with the keys but nothing too stressful we just needed to pull towards while turning. The ensuite bathroom drainage wasn't great and we needed to leave the window open at times that said there are two other bathrooms which have showers so we used those most of the time. As the property is on a hill we rented a car and it worked out well for driving into the main resorts closer to the coast but the one time we walked it was a bit of a trek back up the hill so would stick with wheels if you can. The bedroom with the balcony does not have curtains and is the only one of the four bedrooms that does not so if you're sensitive to light use one of the other rooms.

The Villa was clean and comfortable. The host was nice and accommodating.

To be improved

There were alot of steps to get in to the property, which I don’t recall being advertised. We took our parents and they struggled with the steps. There were a few steps that were always wet I think due to a leak, which was quite dangerous. The main bedroom en-suite had a terrible drainage smell at the end of each day whilst you were showering, it was not pleasant. The pool is very small and the chlorine turned the hair green, never had that in villa pools before.
