“Charming, wonderful staff”
Beautiful historic building. Excellent bathroom. Fantastic, kind staff. Good location.
My room was not as nice as the ones shown. The buildings in Vejer are historic and because of this, windows in some are limited. I enjoy a very bright, sunny room which this did not offer.
“Vejer de La Frontera on Carnival weekend is a great place to visit! Great atmosphere, good food and drink, very friendly”
Near to good bars, restaurants and the food market. The town is on a hilltop, so lovely views of the area. Walking around the town includes steep inclines, so you need to be reasonably fit. We arrived by bus, it was a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop. We chose to walk , but Luisa had offered to pick us up. We gratefully accepted the offer of a free ride back to the bus stop to ensure that we didn’t miss the bus. Communication was excellent, everyone very friendly. We were lucky to stay in Vejer on Carnival weekend - so much fun!
Nothing that we didn’t like. However, Vejer de La Frontera is quite physically demanding so not suitable for anyone who struggles with mobility. There is no lift in the property, but again not a problem for us.
“Great location with a fantastic view.”
Great location.
Reception told us to contact them on arrival so they could organise a shuttle to collect our luggage from a carpark on the edge of town but they disappeared on us. We had been communicating all day via WhatsApp but apparently they do not monitor this after 4pm which they neglected to mention (we had already told them we would be there just after 4). Had to lug our bags 10 minutes up steep hills on cobbled streets. The WiFi here did not work at any stage so we burned through a fair bit of mobile data.
“Costco packet breakfast in a tired looking ex-hostal”
Location is ok
The place is a little tired looking and doesn't look like it does in the photographs. The breakfast was all packet products from Costco.
“The staff were brilliant at these apartments. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and happy. Nothing was a problem. Vejer is a beautiful place to spend a night or two. Loved it.”

“Beautiful old home right in the old town. Big room with open concept bathroom · Cons: Big issue is the front desk staff leaves at 3 pm so there’s no one around. If there’s any issue or question, you have to call/text. Should be renamed a pension or similar. Could use better bathroom products and real glasses as opposed to plastic. And a fridge/coffee maker would be useful as breakfast is served after 830 AM”
