Bel Appartement Face A La Mer, Wifi, Climatisation

It looks quite scruffy when you first arrive, but you forget about that because it is so comfortable and homely!

THE APARTMENT WAS NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY. I write this review as the disabled person in a party of 4. I am a full leg amputee confined to a wheelchair. On arrival I was met with 2 large steps just to reach the access lobby. This led to a chairlift which during my stay broke down 3 times with me on it. The stress put on my wife and 2 friends to physically manhandle me from these situations each time was immeasurable. To top it all off, neither of the 2 bathrooms could be accessed as a wheelchair does not fit through the doors. The sheer indignity of having to ask someone to assist me every time i needed to use a bathroom was enormously stressful on myself and my entire party. I have used the standard filters on BOOKING. COM to book properties for disabled people for many years. This particular property in no way,shape or form comes anywhere near the standard of a wheelchair accessible property. The owner of the property has made a partial refund, but to my mind he has only considered my inconvenience and distress. He has not considered the massive impact all these issues had on my wife and 2 friends who spent their holiday lifting and laying me. We have holidayed as a group since i lost my leg and they have NEVER had to deal with all the issues they encountered. They too should have been considered by the owner in any form of recompense

Apartment itself is not new and modern, looks exactly like on the pictures. The room for little kids with a bunk bed is tiny and not really used. Many things are already fairly old and shall be replaced soon, such as microwave, toaster, etc. The washing machine didn't work, we notified the lady who looks after apartment, but it wasnt fixed by the time we left. Non of the above is negative and didnt bother us much.
