1/10 ⭐️ The photo does not match at all. There are locks everywhere, there was not even a blanket to cover it. Lack of order, unclear entrance system, additional 100e deposit requested. I do not recommend.

I think that the instructions to pick up the key was a little confusing (I arrived outside of check in times, after midnight). This is through no fault of the host, it was just some English words were literally translated and created a little confusion. Essentially, the key is kept in a small 'keysafe' (rather than locker) which is padlocked to the 'cast iron railings' (rather than bars) on the front of the building by the entrance - the host will identify it for you and give you a code for it. Once you realise where they are, it is straightforward to get in the apartment.

1. Please note that a €100 deposit is required, paid via an external link, and it’s only refunded more than one week after checkout. This detail is easy to miss—it’s placed at the very bottom of the booking page and not visible on booking overview page. The payment reminder only appears after the free cancellation period ends. I’ve made many bookings in the past, and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. 2. I was surprised that a deposit was even necessary, considering the condition of the place. The interior feels quite dated and has a musty smell, as if it hasn’t been lived in for a while. The windows were extremely dirty, with visible grime and even a dead insect in the slider. It was hard to open them or get to the balcony. The bathroom also had an unpleasant smell. 3. The apartment is located right next to a major road—practically a national road—so there’s constant traffic noise. If the place had proper soundproofing, the view might have made up for it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. The noise, especially from loud motorcycles speeding by at night, made it very difficult to rest. This part of Benalmádena is not ideal if you’re looking for a more peaceful, walkable area—I’d suggest staying a bit further north. 4. It was so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving after just one night, even though we had booked for four.
