BERAMAR APARTMENT

We had a few communication issues with the owners. First, late the night before check-in, they asked us what time we would arrive. At 8am the next morning I said we would be there at 1pm and moved mountains catching the right train to meet this time. It wasn't until we were standing at the front door did they say "oh we can't make it until 2pm", so we lugged our luggage around until 2pm. The apartment was fine until the people upstairs started renovating with heavy power tools, then applying glue for a new floor or something. It was so toxic it made your skin and eyes burn and permeated right through our apartment- not to mention the onslaught when needing to leave the building, where the smell was worst. I asked the owner if they could get a schedule from the people upstairs regarding renovations, which was abruptly denied, but they offered to give us an early check out and refund (with a strange note saying to stop contacting them). They refunded us and more than they were supposed to- she didn't believe I had paid less than she thought. Weird again but who's to argue? I really didn't like the floor rug in the lounge, which was a death trap. It didn't stick to the floor and was super slippery.
