The best

Remote and peaceful location, perfect place to experience rural Basque. Parking just in front of the apartments. The apartment was very clean and functional, it was great to have a fully equipped kitchen. It was also a nice touch that home made cake and bread was delivered in a basket every morning.

To be improved

The bed was too soft for us.

The best

Centrally located to explore the basque country( not including the French part). Beautiful countryside once leaving the valleys which bear the signs of a fading metal industry. Apartment spotless. Kitchen equipped to a very high standard including a juicer and a Bialetti. . Oranges , jams ,yoghurts and milk waiting for you in the fridge. Running out? …just ask for more! Pieces of cake and bread in front of your door every morning ! Wine and preserves in reception if you want. Just make a note of what you take. Before I forget bed liner and towels are given to you every four days ( for you to exchange and put up) Nothing is too much for Jon! He will guide you in from Legazpi and ensure you have a relaxing stay. Communicating in English is not his forte but you’ll get by using Google translate ! In a nutshell, brilliant experience ! Again thanking you, Jon, for your help with the beemer

To be improved

A few niggles which should be transparent at the time of booking: the property is build literally beside a railway line. Just a few trees and bushes in between. It didn’t affect us . The weather was unsettled and we had our windows shut at night . But it may affect your sleep if you leave them open. Then the access…a very narrow bridge ok for a city or medium sized vehicle but not suitable for a very large one; hence Jon showing the other access road when collecting from Legazpi. Finally the apartment is equipped with three of everything : three plates , three mugs , three knifes and so forth. Why not four which would reduce the washing if you do want to run an almost empty dishwasher every day…
