“Not as it seems”
We arrived excited to enjoy our stay, but sadly it didn’t turn out that way. We checked in around lunchtime and were immediately shocked by the condition of the room. The main door had holes at the bottom, the kitchen worktops were badly torn, there was mould and dirt in the corners, something had been spilled all over the lampshades, and the sofas and armchairs were visibly dirty. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The all-inclusive food also had very little choice, which was disappointing. We went to reception to raise our concerns and were offered another room, however it was no better in the slightest. We were then shown an upgraded room, but it felt very dark and dingy and still wasn’t what we had expected. As we were only away for 3 nights, it was really upsetting to lose so much of our short break dealing with this. We ended up spending one full day looking at alternative rooms and trying to speak with the manager. In the end, we paid out of pocket to move to different accommodation the following afternoon. The beds were also uncomfortable, and I personally found the room very cold during the night. Thankfully, HOVIMA Suites Costa Adeje was absolutely night and day compared to this hotel, and we were finally able to enjoy the rest of our holiday. To be fair, we did receive a refund from On the Beach for the other 2 nights, but it did not make up for the stress and lost time during such a short trip. Please see attached photos for reference.
“Not what is said on the tin”
Checked in and they had upgraded us to a 2 bedroom(for a couple)i broke my heart when i went in the room😭 Due to the rainy spells the pool bar was closed for 4 days of our stay even when it was dry&sunny and loads of guests around the pool. Everyone had to walk up to the reception down 2 flights of stairs for a drink as the reception bar was also closed. We had entertainment 2 nights out of 7,1 night just german music and second night wasnt too bad,she sang for an hour. I felt sorry for families with children as there was absolutley nothing for them to do,we went out majority of the time(we were all inclusive)dont expect to spend too much on an all inclusive but we did. Will never return&will not recommened to anyone
“WARNING: Theft inside the hotel and absolute indifference from staff!”
[ENG] WARNING: Theft and absolute indifference from the hotel staff! My wallet containing all my money and documents was stolen from my bag while I was having lunch in the hotel dining room. I noticed it an hour later when I returned to my room and saw my bag was open. When I approached the reception for help, their reaction was shocking. They told me there are no security cameras in the dining area. There is a security guard standing at the hotel entrance, but clearly, it's just for show, as thieves operate freely right inside the hotel! Instead of helping, the staff blamed me for not reporting it "immediately". They refused to call the police to the hotel and simply told me to take a taxi to the police station, completely ignoring the fact that all my cash and cards had just been stolen! They offered zero support. I went and filed an official police report (Denuncia) myself. Afterward, the hotel staff never once checked on me. I spent my time searching the hotel grounds alone and even found someone else's discarded card in the bushes, which I handed to the reception (clearly, thefts are common here). The worst part: on my departure day, I asked the reception to make a quick phone call to the police station to ask (in Spanish) if my documents had been found. They flat out refused and told me to go to the station myself. Despite the guard at the door, the actual security here is zero, and the staff simply does not care about their guests in an emergency. Avoid this hotel! I have filed an official report (Denuncia) with the Spanish National Police (Atestado nº: 5667/26) and I have the stamped document on hand. [ESP] ADVERTENCIA: ¡Robo y absoluta indiferencia del personal del hotel! Mi cartera con todo mi dinero y documentos fue robada de mi bolso mientras almorzaba en el comedor del hotel. Me di cuenta una hora después al volver a mi habitación y ver el bolso abierto. La reacción de la recepción fue indignante. Me dijeron que no tienen cámaras de seguridad en el comedor. Hay un guardia de seguridad en la entrada del hotel, pero está claro que es solo de adorno, ¡ya que los ladrones operan libremente en el interior! En lugar de ayudar, me culparon por no avisar "inmediatamente". Se negaron a llamar a la policía al hotel y simplemente me dijeron que tomara un taxi a la comisaría, ¡sin importarles que me acababan de robar todo mi dinero! Fui yo mismo a presentar la denuncia oficial ante la Policía Nacional. El personal del hotel nunca me preguntó cómo estaba. Tuve que buscar mis documentos por todo el recinto e incluso encontré una tarjeta tirada de otra persona, que entregué en recepción. Lo peor: el día de mi vuelo, pedí a recepción que hicieran una breve llamada a la policía para preguntar (en español) si habían encontrado mis documentos. Se negaron rotundamente y me dijeron que fuera yo mismo a la comisaría. A pesar del guardia en la puerta, la seguridad real es nula y el personal no tiene empatía. Si valoran sus pertenencias, eviten este hotel.
“Prison like but good location”
Reception staff on arrival, no smile just said "passports" not welcoming found that very rude. Doesn't cost nothing for politenes. The lobby bar was out of order on day of arrival. Given directions to our room told us we had an upgrade. Very outdated, not clean enough, needs refurbishment. Beds gave me a bad back so uncomfortable. No wifi in rooms only reception area! Food luke warm and repetitive. Omlette from chef cooked whilst you wait was the best thing i had. Smily host on food hall entrance was welcoming. As a non drinker was told it was alcohol free but found it wasn't.. after being served it. Bar staff not welcoming, scowled at a few times when asking for a drink. Entertainment "dire" apart from the regae man. The downstairs lobby bar it looks like a care home. Torn pvc seating on some sofas, something spilled down side of one sofa and not clean. Security helpful and supportive. Not all inclusive padlock on fridge in main reception. Was told to go to the bar downstairs to ask the bar man to open it. (Met with another scowl) Just cheap yogurt style cartons of icecream. If you want an ice cream lolly its £3 euros. Snack bar wouldn't bother slices of bread, few slices of cheese and ham, fresh fruit few nachos. All bars self service. No cups in room. No milk. Shut drinks area early couldn't get a warm drink at 9.40pm. Supposedly shuts at 10.30pm downstairs and upstairs opens at 10.30pm for a hot drink. I would strongly advise not to stay here at all. Our front door was left open by cleaners another day balcony door left open. When you complain you dont get an apology at all. Rude, not courteous staff. Prison like is what I'd use it to sum it up.
“Relaxing”
Had a relaxing all inclusive holiday here. Good selection of food, although there could of been a better selection of wine and beer. All areas were clean and tidy. Staff were attentive and polite. Pool areas was lovely and plenty of sunbeds. Flower borders were pretty. Will definitely be back.
“Food ok, no atmosphere basic needs a revamp”
We arrived at hotel at 10.45 pm was given a map to our room and left to find it ourselves , the rooms are basic no nice touches they are apartments but the cupboards are empty had to make a coffee in a glass , the place has nothing going on no atmosphere at all( we do get its march ) the main bar is down some stairs not inviting at all the furniture is all marked and torn we had heavy rain the first couple of days so they shut 2 of the drinks sections so just had to sit and wait for the rain to stop,thank goodness the beach and bars are a short walk away to get a bit of atmosphere.... On a plus side the food isnt to bad Definitely wont be returning to this hotel unfortunately...
