BLUESEA Dimona Suites

Last year we had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea, Dimona Suits. For this reason, we returned this year to celebrate my birthday. At first glance, the room was the same beautiful room, the comfortable bed, and a lovely balcony. However, unfortunately, there are several things we didn't appreciate about the service this year. You pay enough to expect certain things. These are things that, according to the website, are offered and therefore included in the "service." First, it says the beds are made every other day, but this wasn't the case for us. We had to beg twice for new linens, but we didn't receive them. We even offered to change the sheets ourselves, but this was also declined. We also had to repeatedly ask for new towels because they weren't replenished. After a few days, we were out of shower gel and shampoo, and these weren't replenished either. We had to get new cards five times because ours kept getting blocked, but fortunately, this was resolved quickly each time. Because we paid a lot, we hoped the hotel would handle this properly, but when we inquired about it, the hotel staff were unsympathetic. We're truly disappointed that things turned out this way and that we feel we didn't receive sufficient assistance. We wanted to return here annually, but unfortunately, our short-lived tradition will end after this year.

WiFi not great. The plug socket next to the bed didn't work unless the light switch is on. So you can't charge your phone while asleep as the lights are on. There was zero indication on the check in information that the reception is in a separate hotel building. We had to ask someone in a local corner shop who must have people asking all day long as they directed us there immediately. It's not hard to state on the booking confirmation to find the keys from the hotel reception instead of the dimona suite. They gave our room away to another party, and said the reason was because the booking.com confirmation number was duplicated. The staff who explained this to us didn't seem bothered at all. We ended up in a hotel room rather than a studio but it still met our needs. However, when we returned to reception the following day, the staff were very friendly and kind and upgraded us to half board as compensation. The wine available with dinner in the evening was not nice. The restaurant was loud and like a canteen. However we took our food outside which was nice and peaceful.

Check in was a disaster. The suite reception is closed indefinitely but there is no notification about it so stood around trying to figure out how to check in. Air con in room didn't work at all and the suite wasn't clean either there was multiple pieces of trash left on the floor for when we arrived in the room, there was multiple holes in the walls. All the fixtures and fittings were poor quality and fairly battered. Just poor in general.

I stayed in the suites, cleaners did an average cleaning on the days I placed the sign on the door. Floors weren’t hoovered or mopped, just a quick bed spread fitted and average bathroom cleaned. Sunbeds were uncomfortable and mostly needed replacing!

We stayed here for 5 days and were very disappointed. The WiFi didn’t work during the whole stay, we gave up asking after 3 days. Cleaning is supposed to be every other day but our apartment wasn’t cleaned once, the towels were changed once but that was only because we asked. It’s located on a noisy main road and the furniture on the balcony was dirty so it wasn’t possible to sit outside. We mentioned it straight away and reception said they would deal with it but nothing happened. It’s advertised as a terrace but it was a balcony. The interconnecting door was very annoying as it made the apartment noisy. We couldn’t find access to the garden or the gym. We wouldn’t recommend to stay here, it was extremely disappointing!!!
