Unfortunately, our experience at this unit was far from ideal. The most serious concern was the presence of what appeared to be motion detectors or SECURITY CAMERAS inside the rental. One was located near the TV, one on the wall in the living room and one in the BEDROOM. There was a sign saying "DO NOT TOUCH THIS DEVICE," we covered all with a towel for privacy. I also noticed a separate WiFi network associated with the unit, which heightened our discomfort bc that's what monitors these devices. Cleanliness was also lacking. The shower caulking had visible mold, the toilet brush was extremely unsanitary, and the toilet bowl had stains that hadn’t been cleaned. When I contacted the host with photos, I was told they couldn’t change the brush for every guest and that the shower was “natural stone.” I ended up purchasing my own cleaning supplies and scrubbing the shower — the difference was noticeable. My PHOTOS are uploading NOW. Other issues included: A lamp in the kitchen with exposed wires. Ants in the living room. A very firm bed (some may prefer this). Dirty cleaning tools (mop and sweeper) stored behind the bathroom door. Limited and inadequate cleaning supplies (e.g., no antibacterial spray or scrub brush). To her credit, the host reached out to try to make things right. She offered to send in a housekeeper, but the timing didn’t work with our tour schedule — and I had already cleaned the place myself. She also offered drinks and tapas at a restaurant she owns, though it was located 40 minutes from the city, which wasn’t convenient for us.
