Nice location, Mariela our host stay in contact and available all the time, even do we never met but she was always responding our messages or call. Great apartment, kitchen well stocked.

Basically we requested to check in a little earlier and it was informed that we would have to pay extra. (obviorily I didn’t accept) We agreed that then we would do it at 5pm, I was informed that someone would be there to open the person arrived 45 minutes later. The apartment didn’t have hot water even for the bath, we need to heat water in the gas of the stove. The cleaning was not good, bed linen and towels stinking, smelling like cigarettes. My stay was disappointing, I don’t recommend it.

The best

Small apartment but with good layout, providing all that is needed for a short stay. Beautifully designed and decorated. Located on the first floor of a typical old building and renovated with a nice mix of old and modern. It was a pleasure to get back to it after a day in the city. Clean, comfortable shower room, with adequate hot water and a good flow. Heated towel rail is a nice touch for winter. Air-conditioning in the main room which is sufficient to adjust temperature in the entire apartment. Located some 10-15 mins from Plaza Mayor. We were less than 30 mins of walking distance from many major attractions - museums, Retiro park, restaurants and shopping areas, and barely needed to use transport. A great place to explore Madrid from!

To be improved

WC is ensuite which can be a bit of an issue if you're more than 2 people - a comfort if you're only 2! Immediate area is a bit run-down and shabby, but it appeared safe, and can add to the city experience if it's what you're looking for. Higher quality areas were within walking distance.
