We were warmly welcomed by the owner upon arrival, who kindly escorted us to the apartment. He ensured we were comfortably settled in and familiar with everything, including the balcony, air conditioning, waste disposal, and other essential details.
The apartment is ideally located in the heart of Alcalá, conveniently close to the HiperDino supermarket and a Bazaar shop opposite—perfect if you need last-minute items like an iPhone cable or a microwave-safe container.
The apartment itself was exceptionally well-equipped, offering everything we could possibly need. It is situated around a charming central square with a bar and a restaurant, yet the noise levels were minimal, contributing to a delightful sense of community. The location is also close to the beach and provides access to lovely walking routes.
Transport options were excellent. The local bus service to destinations such as Los Gigantes or Las Américas was frequent and affordable (between €1.45 and €4, depending on your destination). While we used a coach transfer service, it’s worth noting that a public bus is available from the airport to Las Américas and then another bus to Alcala.
The apartment featured all the modern conveniences: a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The owners went the extra mile by providing thoughtful touches like milk, bottles of water, coffee pods, and a full range of cleaning products. Everything we needed, down to a dustpan, brush, mop, and bucket, was thoughtfully provided.
We arranged a slightly later departure with the owners to accommodate our pick-up time from the Grand Meliá, and they were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to stay until 1:00 PM.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay with excellent amenities, a prime location, and attentive hosts. Highly recommended!
