“Charming boutique hotel”
The best

The premises is just lovely, and the surroundings as well. We wanted to stay in the countryside. Had a lovely roundtrip morning walking to nearby village Montiro. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the receptionist provied us with a lot of useful information to our questions about things to do in Escala upon check in. No staff during the night, and only spanish speaking staff in the mornings until 12.00 during our stay. Did not have breakfast but it seemed to be a ok selection to choose from. Nice intimate setting in a casual dining room.

To be improved

The restaurant was closed during weekdays in low season, would have been nice to get that information when booking/on the website as there are few options nearby. I feel that a four star hotel in this price range should be able to care to english speaking guests. There were no one speaking English in the mornings/during check out. Had a room directly above the kitchen, and the two ladies at work were talking loudly, and I didnt get to sleep again on the first morning. It didnt bother me that much, but this is an older building and the sound carries well.

If I have one criticism it would be that the restaurant closes on a Sunday and Monday evening

“An oasis of quiet and calm near historic sites and great beaches”

Very helpful staff who responded quickly when we had a problem with the air con. We loved the calm quiet atmosphere 10 mins away from the more touristy areas of the coast. The well kept garden was a nice place to sit and read
