“Nice apartment in a great location.”

The best

Great location with lots of public transportation nearby. The area was quiet with many local businesses around. No tourists anywhere nearby, only locals! Kitchen was well equipped and the apartment was spacious.

To be improved

Bedroom windows needed sheer curtains for privacy. The smaller room with two beds had a very strong musty smell, as if there was a water leak somewhere. We had to keep the door open at all times. There should be more than 4 large plates (there were plenty of cups and silverware), so you don't run the dishwasher half empty or have to so dishes before every meal. The bathtub is VERY slippery, grip stickers would be great to avoid slipping and getting hurt. The master shower needs a curtain because all the water splashes outside the shower. It would have been nice to have a vacuum cleaner or a decent broom (the one at the apartment was extremely filthy and worn out. It did not do its job) to clean every once in a while and to clean under the beds all the dust that was not cleaned before our arrival. And having a hook or two in the kitchen to hang the dish towels to dry would also have been nice.

The best

Great location, in one direction an easy walk to the metro for the airport line, in the other an easy walk to another metro line that whisks you to the Prado/Retiro Park. A lovely area - close to shops, cafes, restaurants etc but peaceful. The apartment is excellent - spacious, warm in cold weather and with incredibly comfortable beds.

To be improved

The person who showed us the apartment was delightful but struggled with English and us with Spanish. I'd also suggest more written briefing, e.g for air-con/heating controls, wi-fi, which coloured bins take which recycling etc.
