“DO NOT STAY HERE!!”
Nothing.
It was difficult to find. We asked directions from locals despite having the postcode. Not helped that we were looking for an actual bungalow, which it is not. It is a shabby mid row apartment where we had to walk past and step round (unfriendly) local residents having barbeques which felt intrusive but also quite intimidating. Its in a run down area, not within walking distance of town unless you walk a couple of miles along the main road uphill all the way. The apartment was a tiny, dirty, health and safety hazard. The fact there was no kettle or wine glasses were the least of our worries. It felt damp and this was evidenced by the wildlife (wood lice and centipedes) sharing the apartment with us. The apartment is not suitable for anybody who is elderly, or has a mobility issue or over 5ft tall as the mezzanine bedroom ceiling is so low, I bumped my head before I stepped off the 'stairs' leading to it. You can't stand up straight in the bed area and have to be careful not to fall off the edge of the floor where it abruptly ends and is finished off with astro turf! The stairs are more like a ladder, steep and dangerous with big gaps especially at the top step. There are nails sticking out at the edges. You have no choice but to walk down backwards. The sofa is grubby and uncomfortable. The apartment doesn't have a terrace. The shared path outside the front door is where you can just about squeeze a collapsible table and camp chairs. The view on the other side of the apartment is partly obscured by the car park, roof tops and a concrete rotunda tower block. We stayed 1 night as it was too late to find anywhere else. We told the host within 2 hours of being there that we were leaving the next morning. He didn't ask why we had decided to leave and was generally disinterested. The description of the apartment is totally misleading and hugely overpriced.
