“Winter holiday in Sonnenland”

A well equipped "bungalow" with a super responsive host. Inside the compound is car free, with designated parking just inside the entrance, so you can enjoy a holiday free from the dangers of cars yet also use your car when you need to. The swimming and sunning area is great. A plus is the table tennis hall--bring your own bats and balls. There is also a tennis court and a basketball court though we did not use them. We appreciated being able to self-cater. There are good grocery stores nearby. We went in the middle of winter and found the bungalow too cold in the evening but the host soon brought us an electric radiator so we were then comfortable inside the house.

To be improved

The view immediately outside the compound is not great. Also it is a little distance from the wonderful sandy dunes of Maspalomas, so a car is necessary.

Convenient apartment that has everything necessary. A nice park for jogging is not far away.

To be improved

Pictures on the website are a bit outdated, the apartment needs some renovation. No WiFi. I had a problem with getting a code to enter the apartment which can be easily fixed if owners would send the instructions on the email, in the booking app and not only on WhatsApp.

“Lovely quite week in winter sun”

The best

Lovely place, very clean. All the communal areas are well very clean too although quite a few sun loungers were a bit broken. We were left a welcome pack on arrival of wine, crisps, water, jams etc which was really nice and unexpected. Spa supermarket and few restaurants in walking distance (though very steep hill). Had everything we needed for a quite week in winter sun.

The best

Hostess via Whatsapp is easy to reach and answers within reason quick. Collecting the keys from the key box and entering the complex are well explained and easy. Apartment was clean and provided sufficient towels, even pool towels. Parking on the street normally within 100-200 meters at no costs. Large outdoor space and nice evening balcony, very quiet complex

To be improved

Very basic equipped and no 'love' in the apartment - no toaster, no tv channels than Spanish spoken which for an international rental would be expected. No wifi - they don't advertise this, but in 2022 is still expected to be there. Complex is old and every duplex has their garden proper fenced off, doesn't feel friendly. Distance is away from everything, taxi ride is just of EUR 6 to Yumbo one way, or 50 minute walk.
