We booked a 5 night stay in this shabby apartment that looks better in the photos than in person. The first 3 days there was construction in the other tourist apartment above. On day 4 we had to evacuate because of the nauseating smell of varnish. We were on the street for 2 hours with luggage and food that we bought to make dinner and lunch. They took us to a dumpy hotel with no kitchen or living room for the last 2 nights. No refund. No empathy. They knew what was going on upstairs but booked us anyway. We are in the process of reclaiming money through booking because the owner is not answering our messages to find an amicable solution. We should be compensated for the food lost, if we needed to be moved, it should be to a similar place with similar amenities. We paid for an apartment that is livable, and the hotel was far from that, a cheap budget hotel.
