“Cosy bolthole between mountains, sea and a great city”
The best

Basement in an old house in a picturesque market town. Freshly converted with a high standard of craftsmanship. Very comfortable. Powerful shower, AC and Wi-Fi. Good bars and good mountain walks on the doorstep. Great beaches and Valencia are in easy reach by car or slightly longer by bus. Tourists are rare in this part of Catalonia, and the local people are welcoming and friendly. After sunset, you share the quiet streets ad squares just with the cats.

To be improved

Many street signs are either in Spanish or Catalan, which Google Maps sometimes does not recognise. The house is easy to get to, but satnav struggles at the end. Better rely on the description of the charming and efficient hostess. An electric hot water kettle, a bread knife and tea cups would add to the kitchen
