Fantastic location in a wonderful neighborhood, close to necessary amenities.
Standard quality for this hotel tier, with some mention of poor communication during an issue.
Not specifically mentioned, assumed standard for hotel of this tier.
Adequate amenities were noted, but the lack of windows affected the experience.
Mixed experiences with significant positives but overshadowed by construction noise and cleanliness issues.
Comfortable mattress but with a significant issue regarding light interference from the hallway.

Location: We didn't have to use the subway even once—everything was within walking distance. I also appreciated that there were no windows in the apartment, as we were in a different time zone and had very sensitive sleep in the first couple of days. The apartment had a refrigerator, a TV with a Netflix plug-in, a washing machine (you’ll need to buy your own detergent), towels, a stove, utensils, and a hot, high-pressure shower. Three coffee pots were a nice welcome touch.
There was no cutting board and the stainless steel frying pan was unusable—it was nearly impossible to cook with, and even harder to clean afterward. There was no cooking oil (I bought a cooking spray and left it there). The shower contained some kind of soap, but it was unidentifiable. May be it was soap. May be shampoo. Or maybe be both. There was no door between the kitchen and the living room, so if one person wakes up and goes to the kitchen, the other is most likely to wake up too. The A/C is impossible to figure out, so you might as well leave it as it’s initially set when you come in, since 18C is the lowest you can get anyway. I did hear steps from from upstairs. But it seems that the upstairs apartment is occupied by a single working person, who comes home at 9 pm and does not move much. Overall, there’s a noticeable lack of small touches that make an apartment feel homey. The apartment is managed by a property management company and not a private owner. They stocked the apartment with anything they assumed is useful for travellers in hopes it would prevent any sort of guest inquiries during their stay. The weird layout of the apartment is probably because this is a remodel and they sliced the whole floor into four separate apartments and this one didn't get a window. While all of these things are minor, my main complaint (and I suspect others may feel the same) is the passive-aggressive tone of the person you communicate with. No hello, no goodbye, no please. You quickly get the sense that they won’t help if you have questions, so you’re left to deal with whatever you’re given. And to the manager: no, my booking app does not have three dots to translate messages. I had to use ChatGPT to translate your responses. And yes, I missed the message about needing to request a second set of bedding for the sofa. In other countries it is assumed that if there is a sofa, you will get a second set of bedding to go with it...
“Good location, I would recommend staying here.”
Excellent location in Madrid close to a metro station, Prado,, Retiro Park, shops, bars and restaurants. The property had all the facilities that I required. The host's level of communication was very good.
The only windows in the property faced out to an elevator shaft. The soundproofing in the property was not very good, so I could hear the neighbours through the wall and above.

“Very comfy location, right next to Prado”
Everything went smooth with the check in and checkout process. Very good location, right in the heart of the city. The apartment was clean and heated and had many amenities, including cooking utensils and an ironing board+iron.
There were no paper towels in the kitchen.
“Excellent and great value for money”
