The best

Very central location. You step into the street and you are in the centre of Madrid. The hosts were nearby, so we could rap on their door when we needed something. It was clean.

To be improved

The room was a little grim with not much natural light. But in fairness, it was comparatively cheap. There were no smoke detectors and four sets of heavily locked and difficult to open doors to pass through to get to the street - and the windows were barred and over looked a small central courtyard. The washing machine door was broken. The shower door leaked badly was the shower was used. The window in the toilet door needed a modesty curtain. There was a very low-hanging light in the middle of the kitchen. One plug socket was dangerously overloaded with appliciances into multiple adaptors.
