“Nothing · Cons: PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS “HOTEL”! I arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time and messaged the “owner”. I was then allowed into the room. There was no one on-site — I was just told that all information would be sent via WhatsApp. Not even two minutes after lying down on the bed, small bugs started crawling around. I immediately left the room in anger — without ever seeing a single staff member — and messaged again. The response I received was: “It’s your fault,” and “I’m glad you left,” among other rude comments. Later, they offered me a different room, which I of course refused. Please, walk 1–2 kilometers further or stay in Padrón, but do not choose this so-called ‘hotel’. An absolute disgrace!!”

The best

Nice spacious room and bathroom. Clean and light. Restaurant downstairs for meals and it opens early so perfect for Camino.

To be improved

The location out of town and the shower is leaking so the room smelt very musty when we arrived.

“Avoid if you have other options!”

The Property was on the outskirts of the city and was on the Camino trail, so that was a positive for us!

To be improved

It was very noisy! We could hear people from other rooms all night long as well as dogs from neighbouring properties! It sounded like there was construction work going on above us well past midnight into the early morning hours. There was no mattress protector on our bed. Although not related the downstairs restaurant provided possibly the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Although I was required to provide a credit card at time of booking, I was asked to pay in cash only at property upon arrival. I did not think it was made clear enough at time of booking that was the case.

“Very conveniently located towards Santiago de Compostela on the Pilgrim path”

The best

The property was clean and modern and right on the Camino Portuguese route out of Padron and next to a fruit and veg shop and a cafe. So lots to like. There was also heating on a cold day which was welcome as was the warm shower water

To be improved

The sheets felt a bit rough and we had both been bitten in the morning. Not unusual in Camino accommodation and it was very clean but expensive.

“Location, it is just on the Camino, but please be aware that it is not in town. You pass Padron city/town by 2KMs. What's best is that they have a restaurant on the ground floor and a supermarket not far from the place. I also liked that we had our own private shower. That plus heater to warm the room was a plus after walking in a drenching rain · Cons: That it is a cash payment only but that was not communicated prior to arrival. I only found out from reading the reviews here a day before arrival, if I had not done that I would have arrived without cash and be told to walk back 2KMs to Padron to get money. The management needs to improve on communicating this with their guests, please 🙏”
