Can Colom

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful location with a stunning view. We based ourselves in Banyalbufar and drove around the island during our stay; parking was available at all times across multiple car parks in the village. It’s very quiet and peaceful, we could barely hear or see other people who were staying there. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The nearest beach is only a short walk but it’s a pebble beach with inconvenient access (wear shoes!), we preferred other beaches around instead.

The day before we were due to arrive at the hotel, a representative told us they had overbooked and thus we had to go to another nearby hotel. He talked it up as if this were an upgrade, but it was a 2-star hotel with a significantly lower rating on Booking. The room was very bare bones, with stains on the toilet seat. To be honest the representative was very communicative and I believe he honestly did his best to remedy the situation as much as he could. But the fact is, we didn’t get the room we booked, and were put into an inferior hotel at the same price. I wanted to share this here for future visitors, as this could happen to others. Be aware that making a reservation for this hotel doesn’t actually guarantee you a reservation at this hotel. We overheard the front desk staff of the second hotel talking about two additional guests that were also being sent over for the same overbooking issue.

The location and views were amazing. The family team were so pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast. Large and comfortable room. Amazing tapas in Can Colom and evening meal in the hotel fabulous, both using local ingredients.

The breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruits and homemade cakes prepared by the hosts. So much attention to detail and super friendly communication. The host are putting a lot of dedication and heart, I really appreciated the calm and authenticity of this hotel.
