“Really nice location but not the layout we were expecting”

The best

It's set in a really nice woodland location. There's plenty of opportunity for walking and you are away from the town so it is very quiet. The garden is exceptionally nice and very well kept and there is a decent amount of parking. It is located a 10 min drive from the local station where the trains are pretty reasonably priced (cheap by UK standards) to lots of locations. Girona especially is a lovely day out. The woman who looks after the house and dealt with us was lovely and very helpful.

To be improved

They have changed the photos since we booked but we though it was the house next to the pool that you stayed in. As it turned out the property you stay in is actually set back from the pool behind the owners house attached to another property. All three properties share the pool so it is not a "private pool" exclusively available to one property as the listing and features would have you expect. This was a big let down for us and I note the photos showing the house right next to the pool have gone. Other small issues were that the hot water is pretty lukewarm and there was a mix up getting let into the property and they had no knowledge of our booking initially! It was all sorted by the really nice lady who seems to look after the house. Finally the sinks and shower were a bit grubby. It's accessed from a dirt track so be careful if you have hired a car from a picky hire company
