“Good villa - but experience is affected by internal temperature”
The accommodation is nice. It is well maintained and clean. The main bed we found to be very comfortable. There is a washing machine, clothes line and pegs, iron and ironing board available on the property and BBQ. Towels for bathroom and sun bed are provided. Coat hangers too.
This may be a long list but it isn’t as bad as it sounds (honest). These have been mentioned on other reviews: 1. Heat: During our stay (late July) the outside temperatures were for the most part extremely hot (35C plus). This did mean the Villa was hot inside, even with fans going 24/7. We are certain that for the majority of the time (cooler temperatures) this wouldn’t be an issue for most people, but I think people need to be realistic that outside temperatures will impact on the internal temperature. Opening the windows first thing and last thing at night is possible, and shutting the bedroom and kitchen door during the day helped, however, on most of the windows the insect netting is attached to the shutter screen so if you open these insects will get in (we didn’t). The shuttered windows are made of UPVC also are ‘fixed’ in position and can’t be closed. I have mentioned the windows (not as a criticism of the Villa) but to highlight how they impact on the ability to cool down the Villa. 2. Shower: The shower is really good. Yes the temperature does fluctuate but it’s heated from Solar panels and is easy enough to turn cooler/hotter whilst you are in it. The ‘rain head’ shower we didn’t use as the pressure was quite low, but we thought the second attachment was perfectly adequate. 3. Wasps: Yes Wasps do want to drink out of the pool - especially on hot days. They are thirsty and just want a drink. It is off putting, but they don’t want to harm anyone or be harmed. They tend to drink from the step just above water level. We found that if one person gets up the stairs - and the other person (outside) the pool splashes that step the wasps fly away enough to allow the first person to get in. Once that’s person in, the second person can get in whilst the person in the pool splashes the step. The wasps do return to the step to drink.
