We chose the villa based on its outside facilities - hot tub and sauna - to use on an evening when cooler. The sauna was faulty and really didn't heat up well at all - even trying to use the convoluted directions given did not help. Then on our 2nd day we were electrocuted getting out of the hot tub - myself and my wife quite severely (knocked to the ground), with two others taking a smaller hit. On inspection the trip switches on the fusebox had been taped down to prevent it working. We were very shook up over this and were told by the owner not to use any of the outdoor equipment (which we would not have anyway after the shock). Antoni was very apologetic on the phone at the time - but then once we were home he became difficult to contact - eventually offering us a rather insulting 10% rebate which we declined. He now refuses to admit there was a fault, but yet assured us he'd taken 'precautions' to stop it happening again' - but will not provide details as to what these are. I have complained via booking.com to no avail so far. We are not the type to complain or request remediation for what was a terrible experience but we have received no satisfaction from the owner and we fear somebody else will at some point have the same or worse fate. If you are thinking of hiring or have already booked this villa, I would strenuously recommend you ask the vendor for written proof that facilities are safe before you allow yourself or any loved ones get into that hot tub. On the other aspects of the villa - generally the place is a little tired and unloved: doors stick, locks are difficult, and the outdoor shutters were half closed as they had stopped working (electric again). One of our party was particularly troubled by bed bug bites, and since being back at home we have seen that others who have stayed at this villa have also had similar issues - again if you are staying here maybe you might want to avoid the linen and cushions.
