I chose Can Vistabella because it promised a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. The listing highlighted yoga programs, a beautiful serene garden, and a tranquil restaurant named Zen eat. I was really looking forward to immersing myself in nature and enjoying a quiet, restorative break. Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite of what was advertised. From early morning, the so-called Zen restaurant was filled with groups of children jumping into the pool with inflatable toys, shouting, splashing, and turning the entire space into a noisy playground. The name Zen It feels almost ironic – there was absolutely nothing zen about the atmosphere. This would be totally fine if the hotel marketed itself as a family or kid resort, but it clearly presents itself as a relaxing, wellness-oriented escape. The presence of loud children wasn’t limited to the pool and restaurant area – they were also in the gym, climbing on the equipment and turning it into a play area. At all times, the environment felt more like a summer camp or amusement park than a boutique hotel focused on wellness and tranquility. I understand the hotel doesn’t advertise itself strictly as “adults only,” but it also doesn’t set the expectation that it caters so heavily to families with young children. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, a yoga-friendly environment, or a place to disconnect and recharge, this is not the place. Breakfast was also underwhelming and didn’t live up to expectations – we ordered poached eggs and were served plain eggs with nothing on the side except two lightly toasted slices of bread, with no spread or garnish. The scrambled eggs were similarly basic. For the price, the value was disappointing. The only highlight was the selection of drinks, like the fresh homemade lemonade. The hotel and its surroundings are visually beautiful – but sadly, the overall experience was stressful and far from relaxing.
