Everything was perfect but a couple of the days it was very hot, the property had no AC but they did provide fans

Arrived when it was dark and the directions provided were wrong. We were told the villa was on the right when it was on the left. I pointed this out to the host who initially claimed the instructions were correct but then corrected themselves. Unnecessary stress. Not the best start. Kitchen floor was sticky in places with what looked like dried on food, two of the kitchen drawers had crumbs in. Four pillowcases were dirty and clearly hadn't been changed since the last guests. We informed the host who was apologetic and claimed to be embarrassed but instead of sending someone to check the property and see what went wrong with cleaning given that it wasn't just one issue, they simply sent a cleaner with whom we could not communicate properly as we only have broken Spanish and she didn't seem to know what the issue was so she just cleaned the drawers, did a cursory mop of the kitchen floor (which was still sticky afterwards) and changed pillowcases. Clearly the property had not been properly cleaned before we arrived and the host did not take this seriously enough. The host charges an extremely high cleaning fee so this is inexcusable and, in the case of the pillowcases, disgusting. The lack of proper cleaning became more apparent the longer we were there. The outside areas were immaculate but early one morning, without any prior notice from the host, gardeners arrived. It was disconcerting to see legs going past the window whilst sitting on the toilet. The description and photos are a little misleading with regard to views. There was no view from our villa and the high concrete walls felt a little prison-like to me. The pathway to the other villa was raised and went directly past two bedrooms which meant there was little privacy. Additionally, there are windows everywhere and as the property is set below street level, one window looked directly into our en suite which was frustrating.

Unfortunately, the WiFi/Internt connection was going on and off very often.
