Our experience with this shared apartment in Madrid was disappointing overall, despite the host being helpful and trying to assist us. The first room we were given was inside the kitchen area, had a strong smell of humidity, and was poorly ventilated. There was no air conditioning, and the environment was very uncomfortable. After we contacted the host, she kindly moved us to another apartment, which was slightly better but located on the 4th floor with no elevator and still no AC. Unfortunately, we spent most of our two-day stay moving from one apartment to another, as the host informed us that the second apartment was only available for one night. On the second day, we were moved back to the first building, but this time to a different room on the second floor. It was slightly better than the original one but still very small and without air conditioning. Additionally, the location didn’t feel very secure. Overall, it was a stressful and uncomfortable stay.

literally everything. this property was actually vile. the doors and locks don’t even work properly, there was a squished mosquito on our wardrobe and a black curly hairball jammed in the door hinges of our room that had apparently been ‘cleaned’. it absolutely STUNK of cigarettes so badly we could barely breathe. There were days worth of unwashed pots and pans hidden in a cupboard below the sink. the neighbourhood seemed really unsafe and everything about this stay was horrendous, we genuinely couldn’t wait to leave, our clothes now stink of cigarettes thanks to this place, do not waste your money here.

just the door knob, I hurt my finger while opening it. 😭 I hope they'll replace it for safety. Otherwise, all okay.
