“Everything was good. The bed, the bathroom..the pillows were a bit higher but it was okay. The room was clean and had an AC which was great. The kitchen and the balcony outside were nice and clean. The owner is super friendly and helpful! · Cons: There was a construction site right next to the property, but we were out all day so it didn’t bother us much.”

The best

Check-in was a bit strange as you need to text them when you arrive and they buzz you in for the first time, then your key is in the box on the other side of the door - you never meet the owner. The interior is nice, kitchen is fully equipped with all that you need. Each room has its own shelf with dishes, cutlery, mugs. There is a stove, kettle, microwave and fridge (also separated by room numbers). I would suggest to put small minibar fridges into each room as many people do not like to leave stuff they consume in a place shared with strangers, it is not safe. Room itself was spacious and nice, wardrobe with hangers, working AC, blackout shutters. Bathroom with enough lightening, big shower, hairdryer and liquid soap provided (no shampoo). Owner is responsive online and try to solve your issue and help. There is a supermarket about 2 min away and a few cafés/bars (no one speaks English though).

Very far from the centre and beach - about 25min walk down and then uphill to reach the beach, passing some strange neighborhoods, I did not feel safe later at night as a solo female traveller. Looks clean on surface but when you look closer, the cleaning is very basic - dusty behind and under the bed, weird smell in the bathroom and I found some kid's swimming suit/underwear in one of the bathroom drawers (clearly not cleaned and checked). TV does not have a single channel and works only for Netflix, otherwise it is useless. There are cameras in common areas - totally understandable but creepy for me. There should be some written warning about this. Be aware that this is shared flat - 3 rooms inside an apartment with common kitchen + 2 other rooms in the "backyard". Owner is not present (however responsive online) so it really depends on your luck with other guests. In my case, my stay was a nightmare as there was a couple with a small kid (around 2 years) who was constantly screaming - day and night. I wanted to have a long, relaxing weekend and sleep after travelling for 12 hours, which was absolutely impossible. There should be an AGE LIMIT for this type of accommodation as everyone's comfort depends on particular guests. These people thankfully left the next day, however the next couple and other guests did not respect the flat's rules either - cooking, washing dishes, talking, laughing, moving chairs loudly on the floor after quiet hours. On top of this, there is construction works going on right next to the house (0 warning when I booked), starting as early as 7.30am. This is also ground house with 0 sound proofing – front doors creaks, you can hear every word in other rooms but also everything that is happening in the street, every person passing in window. All these noise issues absolutely ruined my trip, I felt like in a hostel. In short, if you are visiting Alicante to relax and/or you are a light sleeper, do not stay here.

It’s a little bit loud, in the neighborhood they build a house…. If you are waiting for the silence from home, it’s not! The room are small, but nice!
